With the TG EAPCET 2026 results announced on May 17, 2026 by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), qualified candidates across the state are now waiting for the counselling process to begin. While the official counselling dates for both MPC (Engineering) and BiPC (Agriculture & Pharmacy) streams are yet to be released, the process is expected to commence in June–July 2026 for the MPC stream.
The official counselling portal is tgeapcet.nic.in. Candidates are advised to keep checking this portal for the official notification.
Why Is the Counselling Notification Delayed?
According to sources, the counselling notification has been slightly delayed this year as affiliated universities have not yet completed uploading seat details to the counselling portal. Other administrative formalities are also pending. Candidates are advised not to be alarmed - the process is expected to be notified shortly, and the tentative schedule below gives a reliable picture of what to expect.
Engineering Seats on Offer - 2026
Approximately 1.16 lakh engineering seats are expected to be offered through TG EAPCET 2026 counselling across private and government engineering colleges in Telangana. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate's TG EAPCET rank, reservation category, and web options exercised during counselling.
How the Counselling Process Works
The entire counselling process will be conducted in online mode. Here is the step-by-step flow candidates should be prepared for:
- Online Registration - Fill in basic information and pay the processing fee
- Slot Booking - Book a date, time, and Help Line Centre (HLC) for certificate verification
- Certificate Verification - Attend the selected HLC on the booked date with all required original documents
- Web Option Entry - After verification, enter preferred colleges and branches in order of preference
- Mock Seat Allotment - A trial allotment to help candidates review and adjust their options
- Freeze / Modify Options - Finalise option entry before the official allotment
- Seat Allotment - Official seat allotment published phase-wise
- Fee Payment & Self Reporting - Pay tuition fee online and report via the website
There are expected to be three rounds of allotment - First Phase, Second Phase, and Final Phase - each with its own separate schedule.
Expected Counselling Schedule - MPC Stream (Based on Last Year)
The following is a tentative schedule based on past year timelines. Official dates will be announced on tgeapcet.nic.in.
First Phase - July 2026
Includes: Registration, fee payment, slot booking, certificate verification, web option entry, mock allotment, option freezing, and provisional seat allotment. Candidates allotted seats to pay tuition fee and self-report online.
Second Phase - July 2026
Includes: Fresh registration for eligible candidates, revised option entry, second round of seat allotment, and self-reporting.
Final Phase - August 2026
Includes: Spot allotment or final round for remaining vacant seats. Candidates who did not receive a seat or wish to upgrade may participate based on eligibility.
BiPC Stream (Agriculture & Pharmacy) - Counselling Expected Later
For candidates who appeared in the Agriculture and Pharmacy (BiPC) stream, counselling is expected to begin in October 2026, based on previous year patterns. This stream follows a separate counselling cycle with its own registration, verification, and allotment schedule, which will also be published on the official portal.
