TG EAPCET 2026: Official Normalised Marks vs Rank Band Width – Engineering & Agriculture/Pharmacy Streams

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially published the Normalised Marks vs Rank Band Width data for TG EAPCET, covering both the 2025 and 2024 exam cycles. This data, released by JNTUH on behalf of TGCHE, is the most reliable reference for candidates to estimate their expected rank bracket based on their normalised score out of 160.

Since TG EAPCET is conducted in multiple sessions with varying difficulty levels, raw marks are not used directly for ranking. Instead, a normalisation process is applied across all sessions to arrive at a fair comparative score. Ranks are allotted solely on the basis of these normalised marks. The band-width data below gives a session-independent picture of where a candidate’s score is likely to place them in the overall rank list.

Note: The 2025 and 2024 data are provided by TGCHE for reference. Actual 2026 ranks will depend on the overall performance of this year’s candidates and will be officially published on the result portal.

How to Read This Data

Each band shows the rank range for candidates who scored at or above the mentioned normalised marks. For example, a candidate who scored 70 or above (out of 160) in the Engineering stream ranked between 3,996 and 6,104 in 2025. Use the two years of data together to understand how rank bands have shifted year over year and estimate where your 2026 score might place you.

Key Takeaway: Competition Is Growing Year on Year

Comparing 2024 and 2025 data reveals a clear trend — competition in the Engineering stream has intensified significantly. A score of 80+ fetched a rank below 3,706 in 2024, but tightened to below 2,613 in 2025 — meaning more candidates scored in the higher mark brackets in 2025 than in 2024. This pattern is expected to continue into 2026, particularly for high-demand branches like Computer Science, AI, and Data Science at top Hyderabad colleges.

For Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, the trend shows a similar but comparatively moderate tightening of ranks in the upper score bands, reflecting growing interest in pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology programmes.
