The results of the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2026 are tentatively scheduled to be declared around May 25–26, according to a senior official of JNTU Hyderabad, which conducted the examination on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

The entrance test was held in two phases - the Agriculture & Pharmacy (A&P) stream on May 4 and 5, and the Engineering stream on May 9, 10, and 11 - across examination centres spread throughout Telangana.

Strong Turnout: Over 2.82 Lakh Students Appeared

The examination witnessed impressive participation across both streams:

  • Engineering stream: 2,10,766 candidates registered; 1,97,241 appeared
  • A&P stream: 90,977 candidates registered; 84,954 appeared
  • Total appeared: Over 2,82,000 students across both streams

On the final day of the Engineering stream examination alone, more than 65,000 candidates appeared in a single day across two sessions - reflecting the scale and logistical complexity of the exercise.

District-wise Attendance: Nizamabad, Siddipet, and Nalgonda Lead

Zone-wise attendance figures from the Engineering stream reveal notable variations across the state. The forenoon session recorded 32,673 candidates present out of 35,092 registered - an attendance of 93.11%. The afternoon session saw 33,225 candidates present out of 35,518 registered, achieving 93.54% attendance.

District-wise highlights:

  • Nizamabad, Siddipet, Nalgonda - highest attendance, exceeding 97–98%
  • Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal - strong participation above 95%
  • Hyderabad Zone I - comparatively lower turnout at 88.6% (morning) and 90.9% (afternoon)

TGCHE Chairman Balakista Reddy and JNTUH Vice-Chancellor Kishen Kumar Reddy personally supervised the initial configuration of the computer-based test to ensure smooth conduct across all centres. Convener Vijaya Kumar Reddy confirmed the attendance figures.

Preliminary Keys Released; Objection Window Closes May 14

JNTU Hyderabad has published the response sheets, master question papers, and preliminary answer keys of both streams on the official website: eapcet.tgche.ac.in.

Students who wish to raise objections on the preliminary keys should note the following deadlines:

  • Engineering stream objections: Open until May 14, 2026 (11:00 AM)
  • A&P stream objections: Deadline has already passed (May 13, 11:30 AM)

As per the fee structure introduced last year and continued in 2026, students must pay ₹500 per question/key objection at the time of submission. If the objection is found valid by the experts committee, the amount will be refunded within seven days of result publication. The fee was introduced to prevent non-serious candidates from filing large volumes of frivolous objections.

What Happens Next - Timeline to Results

  1. Objections received on preliminary keys will be reviewed by an experts committee
  2. The committee will decide which objections are valid and revise the answer key accordingly
  3. The TG EAPCET Committee will then be convened to finalise the results
  4. Results are expected to be declared around May 25–26, 2026
  5. Rank cards and counselling schedule will follow after result publication
